The second set of team rankings for the 2009-10 wrestling season has been released by IndianaMat.com’s decbell, and Yorktown is making news with its ascent into the first five.
Fresh off a lopsided upset of perennial power Bellmont, the Tigers rise from seventh to fourth this week. That places Yorktown behind holdovers Mishawaka, defending state champion Crown Point, and Perry Meridian.
Elsewhere, Castle and Evansville Mater Dei stay in that order while each dropping one spot to fifth and sixth, respectively. Indianapolis Cathedral moves up one spot to seventh, with Bloomington South rising three spots to ninth and Franklin coming from outside the Top 20 to No. 10.
